You hate the lack of financial reward and growth from working a 9 to 5 job and instead desire to write your own paycheck. Does this sound like you?
It doesn’t matter how hard you work and how dedicated you are to your job. You can be sure that your monthly paycheck will still be the same. So what is the motivation then to go above and beyond and excel at your job? If your colleague next door might putting in half the effort and doing just the bare minimum. While still getting paid the same as you.
Maybe a verbal appraisal here and there, or perhaps an employee of the month reward. But that’s about it… Let’s be real here, no amount appraisals or awards can improve your standard of living in a practical way. Or solve any of your financial issues. Not even by fraction… Even if you factor in the very small percentage of annual increase in your salary due to inflation. It will not make your life any easier for you in any way, shape or form.
I love to work hard and keep myself busy. And I have high standards and expectations for myself, both in my general work ethics and quality of work. I do not like to deviate from this, even if doesn’t make a difference in my final paycheck. That’s just my personal conviction… And being heavily involved in customer service roles throughout my life, if for nothing else, achieving customer satisfaction and experience still gives me some sense of fulfillment in my life.
However, I would be even more ambitious and motivate if the amount of financial reward I get out was directly proportional to the level of dedication I put into it my work. I would love to write my own paycheck.Which is definitely not the case in a any normal 9 to 5 job…
Unless maybe if you work in a high commission-based sales job. However it requires a lot of charisma, and a lot of forcing sales down people’s throat. A lot of pressure and stress from higher management, for having to meet sky high KPI’s… There’s also some manipulation involved and some degree of lying by omission, to get a sale through. None of which I am into. Hence I could never get myself to go for a sales job in the long term. As much as the gains can seem quite impressive and tempting at times.
There’s also the option of working your way up the corporate ladder, by improving your knowledge and skill sets through attaining higher qualifications. And working really, really hard, for long, gruelling hours. Including overtimes and weekends. And with some social networking and having the ‘right connections” and sometimes stepping on other people’s toes…. Just to get an additional $10, $20k, or $30k promotion.
Again this doesn’t appeal to me. The reward you get back is definitely not worth the time and effort you have to put in. And the life you slave away for, which gives you no life at all…
In the later half of this year, I finally decided that I had to find a way to take control over writing my own paycheck. I believe this should be determined by the work I put in and the results I produce…
The best solution I found for myself, was to start my own online business in high-ticket affiliate marketing with the SFM. The hard work and dedication I contribute, the more it will reward me back in the form of unprecedented financial gain.
I’m really looking forward to write my own first paycheck, and kissing my fixed income days goodbye…
What about you? Will you settle for your month fixed pay for the rest of your life? Or do you want to write your own paycheck?
What will you do to change this?
