Discover a better retirement plan- When do you plan to retire and how?

Do you have a better retirement plan than just relying on age pension and your superannuation savings? Have you even thought about the possibility of better options out there? If not, then let me wake you up to the fact that there is! And that its accessible to you today…

The universal average retirement age is 65, with slight variations between countries. Australia is currently sitting at 65 ½ years of age. The US & UK is at 66.

This number is never fixed. There is a small increase every year, making it harder and harder for people to retire with the age pension earlier. You will receive the age pension by the government once you reach retirement age. It is income and assets tested. And not enough for an average person in a developed country to live off during retirement.

Then there’s superannuation. Which most of you who work a 9 to 5 job will accumulate during your working lifetime, from your employer contributions. This amount will obviously vary from person to person, depending on your annual salary.

You can also use this to fund your retirement once you hit retirement age, as an additional income source on top of your age pension. You can access this as a super income stream on retirement. Which you receive a series of regular payments every year. And not subject to tax deductions…

Or there’s the option of withdrawing your super in lump sums… However you will need to manage your finances well. To ensure that you don’t use up your super too quickly this way. After all, this is supposed to last you for the rest of your life after retirement.

I was having lunch with a group of friends the other day. Who all work a 9 to 5 job. And the topic of superannuation randomly came up.

They were talking about which super funds they had each invested in. Which super fund they believed had the greatest returns. And how much they have saved so far etc…

I couldn’t really contribute to the conversation. Because I’ve worked so many different jobs now. So I don’t remember which super fund I’m with. And frankly, I don’t care. Because I never planned to live off my super after retirement. And definitely not with the age pension either. I just know that it just wouldn’t be enough.

Better Retirement Plan- Planning to retire with just a pension and super?

Better Retirement Plan- Planning to retire with just a pension and super? Think again…

And plus… I never planned to retire at 65. As I never wanted to set the age to when I ‘retire’. I want to have the ability to retire whenever I want. If it means at 35 if I wanted to.

I also want the option of not retiring at all if I don’t want to. Because I may never want to retire… Not because I feel the need to work for longer to earn a living. But because I may want to spend my entire life doing what I love. So that the work I do doesn’t feel like work… Then I won’t ever feel the need to retire…

When and if I do retire, I want it to be my choice. Not dictated by society’s expectations. Or any financial limitations… And I definitely would not be able to do that if I was relying on a pension and/or a super fund.

Hence the concept of super just doesn’t appeal to me. So I really don’t care if I have one or not…

The only way I will be able to retire whenever I want. And be in a situation of financial abundance to do so… Is to have a better retirement plan. With alternative sources of income. Ideally in the form of passive income.

I plan to do this mainly by receiving rental income from investment properties… And income from an highly profitable online business/es. Which will pretty much run itself on autopilot once established. With little effort and time investment on my part…

And still earn more than enough to enable me to retire early… And allow me to invest more of my time on the things that are more important to me. Like family. And things that I’m really passionate about.

Or, I can put in more time and effort into my business. To scale it greater heights if I wanted to do…

But whatever it is, I want the freedom to choose which path I take. And not be limited and bound by finances. And a job that forces me to work until I’m 65 or more.

If you have ever wondered about how on earth you are going to retire with a small pension payment… And you’re working your butt off in a seemingly high paying job, just so you can set yourself up for a better future after retirement. By perhaps having a bigger superannuation account…

And you want find a way to set yourself up with a better retirement plan. One that enables you to live comfortably without being tied to the string of your super account…

And you want an earlier retirement perhaps…

Then open your mind to the opportunity of starting an online business that can enable you to do just this…

So what do you say?

Better that you start working towards this better retirement plan now rather than later…

Don’t wait until you’ve hit 65, when you are mentally and physically ready to retire. But not financially able…

That time will come a lot sooner than you want it to…
